When you deal with a huge amount of data inside your list or library it may be difficult to find the necessary information or to view the required items on a single page. For more efficient document management and the ability to organize huge lists and libraries SharePoint provides sorting and filtering capabilities. In each list or library you can use column headers to sort items in ascending or descending order. Each column in your apps you can use to apply a filter to the page view. Filtering capabilities in SharePoint apps are the same as the ones in Microsoft Excel desktop application. Additionally, for more convenient accessing and organization data the view with applied filters can be saved for further usage.
